The only difference I could remember was that it looked white/gold in daylight but blue/black in artificial light. Gotta have to wait for 11 more hours to confirm.

I've seen it on a phone, a laptop, a desktop in daylight and in artificial light. It always looks pale blue and gold-ish to me.

It also looks ugly, frumpy and a bit uncomfortable. :P

If you think any of those colors are black or blue (besides the >white<-with-a-blue-tint #a4b7e1 & #7f87ac) then you're either dead wrong or you're viewing the image from the bottom up very close to an LCD monitor with poor contrast/angle quality. (Which I can't remember the term for!)
The image you posted has pale blue.

Like, that's not white, that's not remotely desaturated enough to be white.

Here's an article that explains why some people will see it as white and gold and why they may see the correct colours depending on time of day: http://www.wired.com/2015/02/science-on ... lor-dress/

I'll be taking another look tomorrow when there's daylight to see if I can get the white/gold "version."

... huh. Suddenly I'm seeing it as blue and gold. A little while ago I perceived it as white and gold.

This image is incredibly weird.

Edit: seems to have a lot to do with the forum background. Looking at it here, using a dark theme, it initially looks white and gold. When I look at the article Ixnatifual posted, it looks Blue and dark-gold. Looking back here again, it looks blue and gold until I stare at something else for a while.

Edit again: or it could just be the lighting in the room changing, or a combination of the two. Not sure. This image is weird.

Incidentally, the blue on the photo actually makes a good candidate on some sort of palette, I'd say.

Seemed appropriate. This has been all over the news all day, the last place I expected to find it being discussed was on the ZDoom boards.

Feel kind of ninja'd actually :P

Wow, this has seriously worked it's way over to the zdoom forums? It's annoying and pointless. Who the hell cares what color the dress is?

The interesting thing is that this picture apparently changes color randomly. Sometimes it looks white/gold and then it suddenly looks blue/black.

I've seen it white/gold first, then blue/black, then again white/gold and now blue/black again.

And don't tell me that people do not find that fascinating.
