The short film starts as they've just docked on Phobos. The script starts with Doomguy arriving on Mars.

ok, I recommend you start with doomguy..... beating his commanding officer to death, as that's where doom starts.

I know about that. I've done my research. And, no. I'm not going to start there because I already have plans to reveal Doomguy's past later on in the script when it becomes thematically relevant.
So, no thanks.
And dude, no offense, but maybe you should read what I have before making recommendations on how I should change it?
