the room is definitely worth watching though, for its sheer amount of badness it's actually brilliant.

Hardly surprising. I consider it the holocaust of cinema.

Re: Bad movies to avoid...
I don't see how a movie can compare to the systematic slaughter of about nine million prisoners of various backgrounds, primarily Jews, where said prisoners were treated lesser than animals. Or worse. So, yeah. In short: Your choice of words is very, very poor in taste.Wiw wrote:Hardly surprising. I consider it the holocaust of cinema.
Re: Bad movies to avoid...
That movie treats its audience all across the globe (more than 9 million people!) lesser than animals, it treats them as money machines with no intelligence and sets ground to other industries to follow the same steps, and worst of all ; it's doing well (with the finnancially successful downward spiral in general of Sony movie's quality, it counts up to more years than the actual Holocaust) it may be worse than the Holocaust in its quantity, luckily it's not about death, but about cinema quality dying, although I understand it may be a sensitive topic for some, I do see what Wiw means.

From Wikipedia:
Budget : $50 million
Box office : $102.2 million
Least it's not the new Ghostbusters.

Which fortunately means it hasn't been profitable (yet.) To recoup production, marketing and distribution cost it approximately has to make 3x of the production cost internationally. It may eventually get there but it won't be a cash cow and doing a second one will be unlikely after seeing how this panned out.
