Thanksgiving

Good evening, and Thanksgiving to you all. It's a healthy idea to discuss obstacles in a calm, civlized manner, so here we go:

-The contractor to my apt didn't fix an issue I told him about years ago repeatedly (he was having some problems of his own related to marital status).
-Years later, the contractor noticed a huge portion of my floor which had warped from him ignoring it, and got very upset.
-He began to curse and scream vivdly at me and many others, blaming us for his neglect.
-While fixing the apartment, we noticed roaches got in through the half replaced floorboards, now we need to call an exterminator.
-I stayed with some neighbors while the apt was being fixed (projected to finish Tuesday).
-The neighbors were cursing, yelling, and screaming at each other and me.
-At the same time, another neighbor was showing off sexually inappropriate content with political figures.
-During these events, I found out an entire portion of one of my online tests turned in mysteriously blank, so now I need to retake the test.
-I found out that one of my close friends is struggling with alcohol at the same time.
-Another friend had a panic attack and came after me after she got into minor legal trouble (which was not of her own making).
-I am without my razor, bed, pantry, or anything else while I wait.
-A road rager attempted to knock me off the highway because he felt that 70-75 is too slow for a 60 mph highway.

So anyways, I decided to refrain from swearing, got an ice cream cone, and called it a week. I imagine that next week will be much more fun than this one.

Got myself an Elgato card. Was supposed to go into my new PC build but that's on hold until the new year because the mobo was DOA. Gonna be testing it out over the next few days so expect some random console game vids like this one:

Also stuff HDCP.

Already made progress on E1M1 in DOOM's Unity port.

Oh yeah, it's been a while indeed. I hope you're doing okay and staying safe. Because things are really not going well on my end. Anyways Speedrun, eh? Good for you! It's nicely quick.

i noticed this morning, that people are cheating the temperature stations at work by using their wrists instead of foreheads in scans.... i didn't know it was allowed until i found out a few minutes ago. Apparently some places allow it...

You're lucky to have temperature stations. Me, I'm forced to be in a poorly ventilated room with around 100 different people for periods of at least an hour every single day with no mask wearing required, expected or enforced; no temperature checks; no social distancing; no nothing.

I could advise to group with your work mates and urge the head office to force people to wear masks. Some absolute crap happened here not to advise others to do at least something in order to protect each other. Strangely, the people all around me wear mask wherever they go unlike people in big cities. Imagine overfiled public transports where nobody wears a mask and coughing at each other :BFG:

At least there is now a resolution of a government service that refers to federal laws and it's about the masks: https://www.garant.ru/news/1419093/ the article is in Russian, but google translate does wonders there, I checked. That means now any store or shop may decline to service those without masks and in case of resistance may call police and no consumer rights will help the yuckers.

i was playing 7 days to Die earlier, and the one trader named Jen, made a snarky comment, "I've never heard of a.... Stim Pack?"

I thought that was an interesting nod to Doom...

Sounds more like a reference to Fallout, given their similar premises and Stimpacks being the most common healing item.
