Reminds me I should have bought a scanner.
Or one of those pen/tablet things.
Looks good though. Always liked the Castlevania series. Thanks for sharing that

I paid quite a bit for a gently-used Cintiq. I love it. Regular pen surfaces are cheap but the screen is worth it. (I can manage a mouse just fine but drawing without seeing the "ink" go on the "paper" is a no-go for me.)
Something I've been thinking about lately: RPGs place a lot of importance on a specific mythical creature: Dragons.
A big deal in JRPGs.
Dragon Quest,
Breath of Fire, even
Golden Sun uses them for big bads. Many games (even western ones) elevate them to deity level. (
The Elder Scrolls*, a
Might and Magic setting...) And anything with
dragon in the title, really. One of those interesting cross-cultural things I suppose.
I wonder how many (serious) fantasy games give this same treatment to a different (recognizable) creature? (Cthulu et al don't count.) Such as a world that worships
goats unicorns.**
* Even before Skyrim, Akatosh has been the dragon god.
** There was Legend, but that was a film and not a game (that I know of). If there was, it was probably a horrid NES title.

Oh man. I wish it's winter again so my computer wouldn't get overheating and such.
Anyway 20 C? That is just crazily cold man! :O

Yeah, I love this coolant loop. It does heat up almost instantly under full load, though (like compiling 4K video in Premiere.) Never to any dangerous levels, fortunately.
And I wish it was winter, too. Haha. Not a fan of the heat (unless I'm at the beach.)

Got pissed at myself for getting my own ass kicked from discord again and kind of annoyed with SLADE at the moment so I started mapping.

(How do I resize this thing?)
Monsterpathing does not work well with portals apparently.
Also, rules say that all portals to 2 rooms must be of equal distance, but said nothing about using intermediary rooms.

I found out that this exists. As someone who's played through God Hand about three times, I wonder if I should give this a try?
(The problem with reviews on rereleases: You will quickly learn whether or not it's a faithful port, but basically nothing about the game(s) being ported...)

Really wishing I didn't have a work meeting this afternoon. I'd have loved to take half the day off to start up Battletech. All I can do now is read reviews and watch as the community goes feral.
This forum is a bastion of peace from the majority of fanbases, I have to say. It's always so refreshing to come back.

Anyone participate in Ludum Dare? The theme was "mix 2 genres that are incompatible"
I had one day of enthusiasm setting up a simple scene, intending to make a mix of RTS and shmup, then lacked the motivation to keep going
lol
The play & rate period is on for the next ~20 days

Roguelike + rhythm game!
Oh wait.
I think it's hard to call most combinations strictly incompatible. Even two seemingly contradictory genres, such as real-time strategy and turn-based strategy,
can be mixed well.
The only thing I can think of that would actually not work is just about anything + casual clicker. I also thought of "6DOF shooter + golf" which actually sounds freakin' amazing.
