Just finished setting up my new keyboard, a nib 1984 IBM “Pingmaster. N key rollover, linear switches, and since it was designed for a line of banking systems IBM had at the time it has a ton of relegendable keycaps. I’ve got the board set up to have like 4 different enter keys, as well as three different backspace keys, a tab key in the num cluster, playback/volume controls and all that jazz. I haven't figured out how to get the double zero key to output two zeros but I'm working on it. It even has a beeper and volume dial so that the keyboard can beep when you press any of the keys.
my only real issue with the board is that it isn’t particularly steep, which combines with the strange profile of the key and results in it having a very weird typing angle. I might try and see if I have anything I can stick under it that will be the correct height, or I might have some flip out feet that can clip into where the feet for this would otherwise go idk.
