So yeah... I'm having some hard time trying to overcome the tramua of mine rn. Just because of seeing some scary pic by googling, that's all... Again.
I'm way too curious about random articles and eventually cross the line against my will. I tried to be careful but this happened, again.

My favorite Jarre is Rendezvous, but here's the kicker: the actual album is only "pretty good." The best versions of it are the ones played in concert, especially on the symphonic album: https://youtu.be/PyIlEzS6AcY

EDIT: Don't want old pictures of me up on here
Saw Body/Head at a very small venue on Thursday and got to take a picture with Kim Gordon! aaaa I still can't believe it, she was so nice! You can see how goofy I look, I was super starstruck.
My friend took the picture the wrong way so the shirt is cut off though, oops.

So, I was at a friend's house tonight and finally had the opportunity to pop my VR cherry. Ended up blazing throught the entirety of DOOM VFR using a controller with full movement enabled. Happy to report that it didn't fizz on me. Perhaps all those years of playing Quake III Arena helped mitigate the breaking-in period.
As for the game, I'd argue that it's even more fun than regular DOOM 16. The telefragging is a great mechanic and makes the Berserk powerup even more awesome.
Almost, ALMOST sold on PSVR. Still not prepared to spend £280 on it, though.

What strikes me most about that one is the story behind "Last Rendezvous".wildweasel wrote:My favorite Jarre is Rendezvous

I just recorded my own play through Freaky Panties. Now I just have to fire up Cinelerra, trim up the edges a bit, and upload it.

Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
it rained for about 10 minutes here in Sweden around 6AM, but damn did nature try to make up for the drought that's been here for weeks: the rain was absolutely pouring down, with thunderstorms at very close proximity too. too bad it wasn't more evenly dulled out, which would've been nice for how hot it's been here recently, but apparently it's gonna rain more times this coming week, hopefully.
Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
same here, rained the whole evening yesterday, the night felt a lot colder than the last few weeks

Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
This isn't how you make a column renderer.
I had fun putting this together though. No tutorials/articles used on "how to render scenes", i just used simple trigonometry and a simulated field of vision.
Next thing I would do is probably project from the shape of an "eye" rather than a single point, which might help with the distortion.

More miscellaneous musical musings: Knowing what I know of Rush, I still can't quite decide if "Bastille Day" is supposed to be positive or cynical.
... But at least I'm not going bald.

not sure if this should really be in this thread but it has allready been mentioned here a few times
europe is truly turning into a wasteland
May 2018
July 2018
the climate seems to have gotten warmer everywhere this year and I'm expecting it to only get worse in coming years...

Hence South Korea is still having some serious summer problem here. Haven't rained often, people are getting sick or dying even and usage of electricity(take a wild, cool guess) is skyrocketing... When will it stop?

Holy shit, you have a Swans (Filth?) T-short! That's so rad! One of my favourite bands ever.TheMightyHeracross wrote:Spoiler:Saw Body/Head at a very small venue on Thursday and got to take a picture with Kim Gordon! aaaa I still can't believe it, she was so nice! Roomba snagged on the power cable and murdered my screen. Now I have to use my phone. Yay.
This is how the robot apocalypse starts, first they take away your communication devices and then they strike.
Anyway, I vaguely remember people saying things about how to make this forum less uncomfortable to browse on an ant-sized screen, but I can't find any mobile browsing settings in the control panel. Search is also a chore with that screen size.
