If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

I'd say 6 is my favourite in the whole series, just for the story, characters and the music. Oh lawd the music...

The only good FF game is the first one you played when you were like, 12-13 years old.

If that were true, my favorite would have been 4 or 7.

Since I have never played any FF game, I can only conclude that none of them are good.

This.

Actually I've played a few minutes of Mystic Quest, does that count? :P

So mty new keyboard no longer has a "macro record" key. I've pried it out after inadvertently tapping it while trying to use the Escape key, resulting in recording some 2-4 minutes of keypresses instead of its basic function. Worse, it somehow got stuck in the chip and I couldn't revert it, requiring me to reset the flash memory entirely.

That said, I do still like it. The keys are really responsive and I'm somehow making fewer typos.

I can't help but point out the irony here. :twisted:

Speaking of the music, poor Nobuo Uematsu's health is pretty bad right now. :( Hope he pulls through. Regarding FFVI, aside from everything else you mentioned, I really enjoy the flow of battle. No other game really did it right, in my opinion. Esper summoning could've used a better system, but I digress. They're not even that powerful to begin with, which is interesting considering the plot.

To stay on topic, I last picked up Darkest Dungeon. Hoo boy that game is hard. Pretty cool concept and aesthetic, however. But difficult.

Also speaking of music, apparently some Dragon Quest fans made a music mod for DQ11 that repalces the mediocre music with fully orchestrated versions. I always loved DQ3's music and I thought it was sad that the first PC game would have that as a weak point.

@NeuralStunner
Just like Dragon Quest 8? That's great.

even the international version is synthesized? that's pretty lame - DQ8's score was one of the highlights of the game, as well as the brilliant translation job it had, although i don't know how well the game would perform on my system.

The symphony ost of Dragon Quest 8 is amazing. And I'd play it again tbh

Fucking BULLSHIT! I got all the way to the venue with my friend, started drinking and playing pool, and a few hours later I found out from the bartender that Skindred cancelled the U.S. tour because of visa problems. I got my money back for all my tickets, but I was so excited to see them again. >:(
