Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
I couldn't stand relying on YouTube for income. Imagine working somewhere where a single slip of the tongue, misplaced comment or subject deemed "offensive" could lead to social backlash and loss of earnings.
Oh... Wait. :O

I can tell you from experience that it's a very unreliable source of income.
Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
I made voxel models of the cyborgs from 1992's Cyber Empires/Steel Empire.

Looks pixelated but very detailed. I can see their certain shapes! I bet they would look great with some animations.
Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
I rendered them how they would be seen in a remake of the game with isometric perspective, so they are pretty small but the voxel models themselves look the way they do because I used the original top-down sprites as the base and in fact, all voxel models perfectly fit these sprites when viewed from above. For example, this is the sprite for the Mars cyborg (400%):Captain J wrote:Looks pixelated but very detailed. I can see their certain shapes! I bet they would look great with some animations.
As far as animations go...

Looks kinda promising. Looks also stale, but that would work.
I'm glad reading the isometric view of each mechs wasn't a big deal. You're doing really great. I also love the animation as well. Thank you!Cherno wrote:I rendered them how they would be seen in a remake of the game with isometric perspective, so they are pretty small but the voxel models themselves look the way they do because I used the original top-down sprites as the base and in fact, all voxel models perfectly fit these sprites when viewed from above. Nothing doom or any game related but.
“Celebrated” birthday in psychiatry, in military hospital. “happy” as never before.
Quite a time to be alive for sure, don’t ya think?

Military, you say? I guess you're a Soldier, or Retried? I can feel the pain and the consequences as being a Protector of their family and own Country. But i wish you have a Happy Birthday and be safe.

Yeah, a soldier. I hate the choice I made 2 years ago, hopefully it’ll be over soon enough. I’ll need to prepare myself for military commission that will decide to discharge me and my vegetable head for their own
Good.
Eight damn months I suffered here. Now I’m close to put an end to this, hoping to release myself from these chains , get back to my projects in return.

I see... I'm really sorry to hear that. I heard some unpleasant story with the military incidents happened in my country. I certainly hope the Government reward you for going through all this painful duty. Because you deserve it.

Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
Are work-in-progress map editors suitable for discussion in the WIP thread? I've started the development of a new cross-platform map editor which is currently a work in progress. (still have source files to fill, user interface design work to do and icons to draw!)
Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
What do you have to show for it? Is it the same as last time?gdm413229 wrote:Are work-in-progress map editors suitable for discussion in the WIP thread? Not the same as last time. I've got a proper Makefile for the editor and some little pieces of source code, which is all done by me. You can see the Makefile and the source code at https://github.com/gdm413229/hellsmith-editor.
