If so, here's a very useful reference that would deserve to be explicitly mentioned next time.

Reinstalled ROTT13. Started playing now armed with proper quicksave/quickload... which managed to break every mover in the first level.
This game is not being very helpful.

Quicksave/load won't help with its root design problems, sadly...thanks this shit now I never interested/like any of UE3 engine games from indies...NeuralStunner wrote:Reinstalled ROTT13. Playing the original 1994 version was more fun than 2013 version...

annoyingly enough, the game didn't ship to my location in time, so i have to wait after the weekend to play it (understandable, giving the circumstances). there goes my weekend plans, to say the least.

Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
I made it to Darian again. I keep getting lunchboxed in seconds... I don't remember him being this bad on my last run. (But maybe I didn't play on Hard before). It's simple enough to jump the electric wave, but beyond that I can 't see how to avoid the fireball or spear spam besides the side rooms.
Seeing as there is no lives system in this remake, doing something more meaningful with the ankh tokens - 1% health for example - seems like a missed opportunity.
Other than that, I've been having enough fun with it. I didn't think classic ROTT was generous enough with missile weapons to keep it above "hitpoint grind" level.

I'm currently in the middle of salvaging/reworking my canceled Maverick Hunter ZDoom mod (turned out that thing was started in 2010, believe it or not) and turning it into an Omega Zero mod. I just finished the ZBuster animations, including the new ZBuster charge shots. I'll post in the WIP thread once I have some more footage in action.

Gotta love the tiny and big Doom Eternal hype.
... Like what the description says, it has SPOILER about Eternal Doom. Look out.

Doom eternal was really disappointing for me. It embraced all the things I didn't like about Doom 4 and downplayed the things I did like.

Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
I beat Darian on just one more try., guess I found the flow. The last phase is actually hilarious, because it's most efficient to circle-strafe him with the machine gun.
The springpad puzzle where I quit last time was amazingly easy. I broke open a barrel at the start and got a flight powerup out of it.
A few more levels in and the designs are actually pretty cool/interesting. Unfortunately the second boss is, to use the scientific term, absolute horseshit.
