Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Found out that Project Brutality's ledge-catching system is fairly spot on... more accurate than I've seen in other attempts. It uses code from Parkmore to do that...
Holy cow, it is beautiful...

knowing Brutality, i wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that bit of coding accomplishment was nicked from D4D...

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
I just fixed my PC's coolant leak caused by a busted water pump. Every picture is what I had to do today... basically I ordered a new water pump, and of course it's the WRONG SIZE PIPE because the kit I had was from South Korea which uses ID/OD that no store in my county carries. I picked up some adapters at Lowe's and some hose clamps, and I'm back in PC action. I don't like being dependent on things, but 3-4 days without a PC REALLY SUCKS.

If D4D used code from Parkmore, then I'd agree. But I did just say that PB used code from Parkmore. For one thing, you catch onto ledges themselves, it feels like a D4 ledge catch, and there's no bug that allows you to scale a wall simply by approaching it at the right angle.Viscra Maelstrom wrote:knowing Brutality, i wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that bit of coding accomplishment was nicked from D4D...
For another thing, I looked at the code for D4D's ledge catching and PB's ledge catching... and they looked too different for PB to have nicked something from D4D.

Installed a slew of mods for Metal Gear Solid V and made one myself so I can roleplay as my original character Blonic.

After I finished up my 81% run on SR3 I decided to make a male run.

Finally finished getting Sims 2 stable. Nothing like making a load-late mod to manually merge file conflicts! I miss TES5Edit already.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
I updated my profile a bit and decided to come back to this site. I don't know if anyone remembers me, I basically just existed for a few years and waved around a few half-baked ideas before vanishing. The reason is mainly that I essentially just lost all motivation to do ANYTHING modding- or otherwise-computer-related for a long time, due to some mildly inconvenient depression, but lately I've really been itching to get back into it. Hope I didn't manage to somehow piss anyone off.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
I priced out replacement components for my main PC. Motherboard replacement Gigabyte motherboard could be had on eBay for $40, or a refurbished one for $125. In all honesty I think it's time to retire the thing instead of repairing it, though it's nice to know it could be rebuilt for around $150 these days.
Time to keep an eye out on brand spanking new components, something that'll emulate PS2 and potentially Wii U smoothly.

So the chaos on my desk had come to a point where I figured "time to eat all the random stuff I keep on here in order to tidy up".
Recently burned through my packet of hardened gummy bears and tonight I've sacrificed this half year old stroopwafel. Tasted good enough. Guess I'll find out by tomorrow if it was a mistake
