Spoiler:I decided to use my TV as a monitor today. That was a good idea... (1920x1080)
Well, except that now I have no speakers, since this TV doesn't have a phone connector/headphone jack port and the speakers I had before were my monitor's built-in ones, which means I have to use my headphones/headset for now...

Use your monitor's speakers with your TV if you really want to.

@undead003
I don't have any space on my desk and it doesn't work if the monitor isn't receiving any video input...

Send inputs using two cables, then. That's all you can do. I'm pretty sure that's impractical at this point, though.

Not really. It's been some weeks now and I've explored almost everything reachable (I did spend a couple days trying to find the entrance to McCarran).Captain J wrote:i bet you are still roamingin the beginning. reaching to the new vegas, the place where is not so dusty yet greedy place is the part of the game. but it took A LOT of times to go there, though.MarisaKirisame wrote:Well, technically it's not even New Vegas anymore. I've gone from New Vegas to Zion Valley to The Divide and back to New Vegas (and then got lost searching for the damn monorail), then did the same thing in reverse because I missed some things in Zion. Gosh, the travel backwards was really something else since 0.9 fixed a lot of broken AI.

yeah, i was thought that gameplay was so long yet slow to complete something. also that's what is basic for bethesda games, i guess.

How are you sending the video to the TV? If by HDMI you should be able to send the sound through the HDMI cable. It needs to be enabled in your graphics card settings, then set as your default output. If you're using anything else and there's no audio port to go along with it, that's awful odd.phantombeta wrote:Spoiler:I decided to use my TV as a monitor today. That was a good idea... (1920x1080)

Yeah, there are quite a few toxic people, but I haven't run into very many in my few years of playing, compared to a month or so in several other MOBAs where the learning curve is a bitch and everyone else is too.TheMightyHeracross wrote:Quit that in May after playing for just 7 months because of that community.Devianteist wrote:Got back into League of Legends. Accidentally typed 'zdom' instead of 'zdoom' into google and got a load of pictures of women in leather with whips. So, there ya go.

I'm using VGA. I probably could get an HDMI cable, but I don't know where I would get one...DoomRater wrote:How are you sending the video to the TV? This computer doesn't have an offboard GPU but it does have an HDMI port along with the VGA one, and I think they can be used in a dual-monitor setup...

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Shop around. If you're paying $30 for six feet of HDMI cable, you're paying way, way too much. Don't kid yourself into getting gold-plated cables or anything that has "improved signal." HDMI is digital, so you're either getting a signal or you're not getting a signal; there's no in-between.phantombeta wrote:I'm using VGA. There's a place nearby me called PCH Cables that sells HDMI for a dollar a foot. I have no idea how far they'll ship, but their website is www.pchcables.com - they might get you a deal, or at least show you how much you ought to be paying.

Just beat Super Metroid for the first time. How I never got around to playing it until now, I'll never know.

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
I hear Bashe is starting a playthrough of a Super Metroid hack that just tries to connect the areas a bit more instead of giving us a custom story while also changing the physics up a bit to make it a bit easier to play. New breaks are possible because of this. It's also meant for people who have played Super Metroid at least once.
