What benefits would this have on testing, if it's just essentially behaving like single player? Usually when I test net games on the same machine, it's for the specific purpose of simulating a session that has more than one player to see if any of my work breaks in a literal multiplayer environment...

One thing I noticed was that input on one screen didn't advance the monster credits roll.

Nothing. It's intended for remotely spectating true single player games.

Yup, that's always been the case. Nothing happens after it so nothing about the castcall is synced.

Also, I'm surprised Nash didn't catch onto this: saved games are being loaded post startup in a network game. I'm wondering if there's anything I can do with that. ;)
