Oh neat, I was working on something like this for a while. I guess this means I don't need to keep up with it.Talon1024 wrote:Paledit

I don't map much. but when I do, i sometimes surprise myelf
Textures painted in Krita, trying to make that a habit now. any resemblance to juan eckels' style is a coincidence. also the fact this engine supported playing mod/s3m/it/xm for years is a coincidence

Along with those edgy cliffs, this is some new and frisky stuff. I wish there were plants or moss to go with.

Re: The WIP Thread
Last night I realized that my computer could run Membrane with the new GL shaders at top specs without killing the framerate, so I made some
new screenshots. :3
I'm really impressed with how just a few rendering settings and a couple GL shaders can bring a game from looking like it was made in the 90s to looking incredibly vibrant...

What would a metroid mapset be if you couldn't have a self destruct / evacuate sequence in there. and yes, there will be a boom.NeuralStunner wrote:Can you blow up a planet? Please tell me you can blow up a planet.
How I plan to go about this is a mix of Doom gameplay with Metroid elements.
I.E: For chargebeam, you'll get a shotgun, plasma beam would yield you the plasma rifle etc. (unless if someone can rip the metroid prime arm cannon model and animate it) on a side note Expect Energy-tanks, ammo expansion tanks for each ammo type you can use and of course you have Suite upgrades, 5 of them infact this time around with how im handling the progression. and then you're usual metroid upgradesm High jump, space jump (prime style) and so on and so fourth

Good to see you are still working on that Super Metroid project! Maybe I'll try my hand at some Brinstar textures and sprites.doomfiend wrote:Metroid music intensifies

Oh, whoops. Is this some kind of new project you're working on? I thought those screenshots were from another project of yours. You know, with the HUD from classic sonic games?doomfiend wrote:Scoreboard? whot?
