Well, I've just discovered that there's already a native function to change the velocity of an actor to lead the target. I would very much like it if someone could come to my house and end my life, please.

At least I got to brush up on my trigonometry, I suppose

Like i said on the ZDoom Discord Server, i do really hope each area you visit are overall randomized by the script. Like the probs and and the NPCs. And possibly the textures too.

Seriously though, it all looks really amazing. Very interesting indeed. Even the "generic" level looks great.

Back to the characters' feet - for some reason they look like they have their shoes on the wrong feet (especially their right foot - but the left too, to a lesser extent).

Water shader shenanigans. Normal map intentionally cranked to make the effect more obvious in video, that's why the water looks lumpy. But It Just Works(tm)

Testing Out a Proof of Concept for a boss in Abysm E2.


The boss works by "controlling" independently moving enemies to attack the player.
this allows for attacks to come from different angles.

Guess I have 4 mods now that have something to do with Lovecraft.

Strange Aeons: based on The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath.
Ghoul School 3D: References to underground cities of ghouls and the necronomicon.
Splatterhouse 3D: Vague Lovecraft references, especially Dr. West.
Fears: Based on From Beyond.
