It's not post processing. I mean something along the lines of messing with the model matrix.
I'm using uCameraPos, but I've nothing to compare it to but pixelpos. This gives a magnifying glass effect where the sprite may be rotated under a circular portion around the crosshair when looking at it head-on, but not outside of that :P

Another bizarre idea of mine, born from my love of LEGO (especially pirates!) and Doom...

Haven't figured out why it's jolting and off center though :?

I'm not sure if it's the same reason, but I had something that looked similar a few days back. I had set up a flare object that cycled through 3 frames. These were perfectly offset when you looked at them from front on. However, I had accidentally set it to force XY billboarding in its decorate. As I approached a burning flare and looked down on it, it became increasingly jolting like your firecan.

Two approaches addressed it.

1) Switch off XY billboarding

or

2) make the sprites all be on the same size graphic (even when that meant quite a bit of blank space at the sides of some frames) and offset them with exactly the same values.

Like I said, XY billboarding was a mistake in this case, so I stayed with option 1, but not before I had checked to see if option 2 would work (it did in my case).

Thanks Enjay, I gave those a try and no cigar. But now I have a conspiracy theory: Is GZDoom secretly moving the actor in order to steady it's sprites? J'Accuse!

When you spent the whole day declaring local variables in items and trying to access them without success. Then realizes you can just create tags and bind them to an ini file for the same effect :evil: :evil:

Heres a mini side project I'm gonna try out; making a simple classic themed episode for Serious sam fusion by exporting these maps as an .obj model and later on when that's finished, gonna GZDoomify it. :D then I should probably finish up that metroid demo eh? might be a while yet but eh, I could at least show of Ceres at some point...
