GS wavetable synth playback has gotten really quiet

Post by Jimmy »

Not entirely sure what I can do here apart from give a screenshot of my sound settings and describe the problem as best I can.

Here, the sounds and music for me are about the same volume. Changing MIDI devices results in a MUCH louder playback.

I had a feeling I might have had programs in the background throttling the volume of the MIDI playback, but I have closed everything that could be doing so and rebooted GZDoom, multiple times, to no avail.

Is this dependent on the GZDoom version or does it also happen with older ones? If no, since when?

So, no feedback, no cure.
All I can say is that this device has always been more quiet for me than the others, but never this badly, and I cannot detect any differences between modern GZDoom versions and older ones.
