I use it with C++. It's really great.

It's supposed to work really well under Macs, and WinCE and stuff. So it's got all the major bases covered. Most of the things in it are cross platform. Basically if you write the code correctly, then it's completly cross platform, which is really nice.

And it looks sweet under Gnome. (GTK looks ugly under KDE).

I think I might try to learn some of this using Python (with the wxPython implementation.) It looks like it is going to look a ton better than using Tk(inter.)

Thanks for the info. Give me some time, and I might come up with a *very* simple ZDoom launcher. :)

By default, yeah. But you can install GTK themes and a gtk theme switcher (Gentoo/VidaLinux users can emerge gtk-theme-switch) to make it look better.

That's down the road a little ways. Right now, I'm working on becoming proficient with Python. C++ is probably the next step, and it should be less of a task with C and Python under my belt. :)

One of my programs was ported to Linux (Not hard, just had to remove a couple of things).

ZCS probably will be too, just I have to remove the Winsock stuff.

Indeed, wouldnt it be horrible if we saw: "ZDoom has crashed most expectedly" ?
:P

I don't think impse is the kind of image we want to be spreading around.....:P

Randy, the second one still looks the best. I would suggest keeping that one.

Make ZDoom bugfree and ommit the crash report function!...

Seriously: keep the old version, I guess the new one would simply add several hundred lines of code, that could be avoided...

Erm, and how does that matter? Whats a few 100 lines to you (even if it is that much). It will make it easier for the average doomer, not affect the editors at all, and help randy out tons! Seriously... what is the point of keeping the old one... even IF it looks slightly similer to something branded MS
