Vanilla doesn't work right on a lot of systems. On many there's simply no sound (this happens with any Creative Labs card newer than an AWE32), on others it won't run at all (this has a high chance of occuring with any Windows OS newer than '98). You may be able to get it working properly using something like DOSBox or VDMSound, but not always.
BTW Boom features are supported by every modern part except JDoom and Vavoom.

Yeah but not all Boom features are supported by all ports except JDoom and Vavoom. Actually, even JDoom and Vavooom support a few Boom features. And IINM, even ZDooM doesn't have full Boom support.

New Monsters Resource Wad
Does anyone know where there are wads to download using the new monster wads? The demo looks cool, but I can't seem to find sites that host any wads to play!

I have been to the idgames archive many times. I just didn't see a directory for wads using the new monsters in monster.wad and human.wad.
I did several searches on the archives now by "whole textfile" and only had 7-8 matches come up when i search for "monster.wad" or "monster resource wad". I guess no one has made a megawad using these great sprites.
All these new monsters are really great. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the few wads made. However, it would be nice if there were more!
I don´t think there already is a megawad that features the new monsters, however I´m pretty sure I´ve seen some in the works... you´ll just have to wait I guess.
Meanwhile you could try these maps (if you haven´t already), wich got at least a few of the new monsters:
-TNT3 and TNTLE by Tormentor
-HTI by Ninja of Doom
-Sp_geo by Agent Spork (There is an updated version of this map, wich took out most of the new monsters, so you might search for the old version)
-Zaero by Steven Searle (only a few custom monsters but nice maps)
-Zendynamics by Xaser (It might not be in the archive, but there´s a thread about it somewhere here on Zdoom.org, you´ll also need an unofficial version of Zdoom for this)
I guess thats all I can think of right now... hope that helps
