Re: Ultimate Doom Builder

My mistake then, I simply wasn't aware of such feature and had no keybind preselected for it. In my opinion, having to verify 47 checkboxes costs too much time compared to manually build what you'd want. Moreover, 26 out of these 47 are either concerning floor or ceiling properties ; so if one wants ...

Re: Ultimate Doom Builder

I assume you are referring to these controls in visual mode ? It actually works, yet it modifies both floor and ceiling. So if I want to copy properties of only one of the two, I think this isn't possible, is it ? I was asking about this in classic mode, but I would definitely love to have this ...

Re: Ultimate Doom Builder

Hello! I have a suggestion to request: There exists a copy properties function in classic mode. Would it be possible somehow to add a copy floor properties and copy ceiling properties for sectors ? I often polish my ceilings after most of my areas are built and playable. And it's usually tedious to ...

Re: My GZDoom is noticeably laggy (starting from 3.5.0 to 4.14.1)

Woah ! I found what was causing this ! :o My monitor had overclocking off by default. Turning it on resolves the issue ! I had no idea it could be that simple. I never bothered to change any parameter of my monitor as it always worked fine until then. Anyway, there's a game adjust menu available in ...

Re: My GZDoom is noticeably laggy (starting from 3.5.0 to 4.14.1)

Sorry, I didn't mention in my last post that it happens with all APIs. I just tested it again.

To respond to drfrag, I also tried 3.4.1 with borderless windowed mode on, and it works perfectly fine.

Re: My GZDoom is noticeably laggy (starting from 3.5.0 to 4.14.1)

So I used different aspect ratio, and also changed my custom resolution scale to lower numbers. I also tried window mode. All of that using Vulkan. But nothing has improved. I also downloaded vkdoom, and it's the same issue, sadly. :( I feel I need to be a little more precise about the "laggy ...

Re: My GZDoom is noticeably laggy (starting from 3.5.0 to 4.14.1)

Hello! Just bumping this topic to inform anyone who wish to help that I tested the latest GZDoom version (4.14.1) and the laggy problem still occurs on my side. I tried to record it but on video it doesn't show much. I'm still using the latest "stable" version (3.4.1) which is almost 7 years old ...

Re: GZDoom in-game is not as smooth as it should be

I switched to Vulkan but nothing has improved (I prefered OpenGL ES because I noticed some huge maps have greater fps with it, but that is no big deal). I downgraded to the earliest driver available at Nvidia website (march 2024) but it's the same. -> I uninstalled my nvidia driver before installing ...

Re: GZDoom in-game is not as smooth as it should be

Minor update : I tried messing more with the parameters, sadly with no success. However, I noticed switching Rendering Interpolation off is greatly worsening my rendering, in the same way of my problem (this "laggy" feeling when moving). When it is on, it's still bad but not as much (I'd say almost ...

[Resolved] My GZDoom is noticeably laggy (starting from 3.5.0 to 4.14.1)

Hello! I noticed for a while that my in-game rendering was not running as smooth as it is supposed to. It feels slightly 'laggy' (as if the fps was a bit lower than 60) but the fps rate is excellent. Now that I noticed it, it became really disturbing to play any map, so I stopped using GZDoom for ...

Re: Trying to convert MIDIs songs, help!

Thank you for your answers. I finally had time to investigate, and I found another app to convert .dls file to .sf2. This time it seems it is working perfectly without any corruption in it. (Scc1t2.sf2 was like the others : a slightly minor difference that bothers me nevertheless... It'd work fine ...

Re: Trying to convert MIDIs songs, help!

Ok, I tried XMPlay, and I got the same result (tiny scratch at a regular interval (each 2sec or so)), so my conclusion is that my gm.sf2 version is somehow corrupted. (for the record, mine weights 3.188KB) However, I'm still unable to find the correct/original one. Are GZDoom/Zandronum/etc. using gm ...

Re: Trying to convert MIDIs songs, help!

I could work, but it's awfully slow, especially when you compare it to a whole MIDI selection in Slade, where I'd just need a minute to convert any number of files I want....

Trying to convert MIDIs songs, help!

Hello there, So I wanted to add in my computer's music library, the songs I liked from various wads I played. Here's basically what I do: - Open any .wad in Slade, display audio only. - Export MIDIs files in a given folder (convert .mus to .mid if necessary) - Open files in foobar2000, right clik on ...

Re: GZDoomBuilder-Bugfix, a maintenance fork of GZDB

Is there a way to optimize GZDB so my brand-new Nvidia GPU can finally display 3D mode without any lag ? By testing it right now I feel it's as laggy as my previous 8 years old computer and its integrated graphic card. I know my maps are resources-demanding but I should feel a hupe gap between those ...
