Re: The Guncaster - 3.2
It's technically GZDoom's fault on this one - but it's nothing new, either. (It also happens in 3.7.2, and pretty much any earlier versions) The issue was always there, and so was the assertion - but of course, assertions are only triggered in debug builds, so unless you were using one to run ...

Re: The Guncaster - 3.2
Heh, that also sounds handy. Right now it kinda feels like horizontal/vertical mouse sensitivity is... off in those menus. Vertical movement is twice as fast as horizontal for me. It wasn't like that in the previous version and does indeed feel kinda irritating at times. Compiling in a clean git ...

Re: The Guncaster - 3.2
I'm having no such issue on 3.7.2. Dev builds should be avoided if possible. I compile my own builds from git, always have. Even back in the svn days (I'm on Gentoo Linux), but I have to agree Zscript is almost constantly receiving (tiny) changes on the repo. That can't be great for a mod that ...

Re: The Guncaster - 3.2
I'm having another issue when loading it up with gzdoom g3.8pre-264-gaf563b921 At first the monster health (while being way too small to be readable, even on 1080p) and shop work fine, but after saving and loading said game, both cease to function. You can mash the "shop" button as much as you want ...

Re: The Guncaster - 3.1
Congrats on the Cacoward as well, you really deserve it. With recent versions of gzdoom (I build from git) I've however been getting issues, that I don't know are due to gzdoom's internals changing or legit bugs. I had Doom2 + scythe + Guncaster loaded up, got to map 26 (pretty much a slaughtermap ...

Re: The Guncaster - 3.1
The point I was trying to make is that if you pistol start a level and there's just a BFG and cells on the map, if you get lucky and get a powersuit or draugh tome instead, now you have to finish the map with your fists because you don't have a BFG to use. Call me crazy but I tend to always play ...

Re: The Guncaster - 3.1
There's a sort of funny oversight in Heretic. In Heretic, if you manage to kill the serpent he's riding on with fire (turning it black) D'sparil himself will also spawn and show up black :P https://i.imgur.com/YWnzt8x.png I cheated to make that screenshot because I wasn't sure if it was the WAD I ...

Re: The Guncaster - 3.1
Looks like this has been fixed in git already by now. Looks like Graf is reading this topic as well.

Re: The Guncaster - 3.1
I know it's supposed to supersede the environment suit, hence the "then again it's kinda redundant" part. But yeah, that menu is so big I kinda just completely missed it. EDIT: Heh, I did get it to "crash" though just now. When in riftwalker mode and with voidtouch etc enabled, if you "reflect" boss ...

Re: The Guncaster - 3.1
Hmm, I believe it's either an oversight or a bug (might also be intended?), but the asbestos suit movement is off. When you don't have it equipped your movement feels rather... floaty. When releasing the movement buttons you "float" at least a couple meters still. When you equip the asbestos suit ...

Re: The official "ZDoom on Linux" thread.
Looks like you were correct. I set it to "Release" and the performance boost was enormous.
It is now up to par and even faster than the windows build through wine. Thanks

Re: The official "ZDoom on Linux" thread.
It might be an oversight of me or just something that is "not really supported beyond 'best effort'" but performance with regards to the "software" renderer in Linux seems te be a bit... abysmal. Even for my ancient by todays' standards AMD Phenom II x4 955. The weird part however is that when I ...

Re: automap issues
zdoomgl has a "duke3D-like" automap feature though
but it doesn't work like it should, and neither does it help to navigate around the maps.
