Re: Winter's Fury: Finished!

Symantec Endpont Protection, Windows firewall, behind a router. But I may have allowed entry in my browser by accepting what I thought was the wad file download. Just saying that someone has a loaded link embedded somewhere in the trail so be careful.

Re: Winter's Fury: Finished!

Warning - got a malware download by following the link on page 1. XP system restore was able to deal with it so not too vicious but your results may differ. It was a "Homeland Security" warning, locking your computer and wanting $300 to restore your service.

Re: Better not waste it

Hey Martin, it's good to see that you are still here! Thx for bumping the thread, I thought it was dead. Thanks also to jpalomo, SlapTheFish and Max Dickings for the notes, I was hoping that work wouldn't go to waste. So I take it you all were able to play to conclusion without significant game ...

Re: [ZDCMP2] RC1 released (yay, it's not mordeth'd)

Not sure where I should post this note so starting here... Recently downloaded zdcmp2 and am very impressed. I looked at the .pk3 contents and saw that there are three backup wad files in addition to the active zdcmp2.wad file. These probably add 10 MB to the already large file and I was wondering ...

Re: Better not waste it

Thanks Enjay, I'm well enough to go to work and also play some doom. :) Yeah I hadn't logged on in so long that I had to pass an anti-bot quiz. Have you released any projects in recent years? If so I'd like to give them a try. I'll also sift through other projects here; we appear to have quite a few ...

Re: Better not waste it

Nash - The adventures hadn't really begun. You have to kill the dentist. He is tough and wants to grind your teeth. Best to get the SSG before you visit him. After you kill him you can look inside his "closet".

Better not waste it

Hi Everybody, I've not posted for years although I've occasionally looked in at the great projects some of you are working on. 10+ years ago I worked on a single-player western-styled adventure with some amusing content and also some pretty serious hellish content. It always seemed about 90% done ...

Thanks Enjay, I still love this game and what you all are doing for it. Keep it up in 2008 gang!

Thanks,

Mike B.

Re: How Do i make a hole in my wall?

I'd suggest that you start by examining some simple maps like doom2 map01 for example. Look at how the openings, doors, windows are made. Pay attention to the sector floor and ceiling heights and where textures are put (lower, main, upper sidedefs). Then apply what you've observed to your own map.

Not that I know of. You're probably playing zdoom at a different resolution than your desktop setting, and your display driver is using a different refresh rate for the zdoom resolution. You can probably adjust driver or video card settings to control the refresh rate.

DeePsea can probably do what you need...although only map by map, not as an average over a number of maps. With a given map open, you can use "check....level statistics" and view lists of exact counts of everything in the map, including by skill level and play mode. You'd probably only need the ...

If you're still stuck, I can do a node build with DeePBSP. It has options for zero blockmap and reject, which is fine for zdoom. Email is mjblakely at earthlink dot net.

Lumpy - I don't see those problems. Zdoom doesn't have a single error message in the console when I load the wad. All textures look OK when his wad is loaded along with heretic.wad. There are monsters placed in void space. Using DeePsea in zdoom-heretic project, there are no errors flagged in the ...

The fix was easy - you need to put your Ettin sprites between two markers. I used XWE and put an entry called SS_START above the sprites and put SS_END below the sprites. All is well.

I have no idea what that "game Raven" entry in decorate does...maybe nothing?
