can i replace the gzdoom stuff wiht latest gzdoom? Don't think that'd work, but I feel your pain, I'd love to see a release that uses a more recent version of GZDoom, the incompatibility with a version as old as what's used here is painful, there's a lot of cool stuff I want to play in VR doom that ...

I barely touch the M9 since the revolver was introduced, a semi auto with a little more punch would be most welcome to me. Since I don't really use the M9 much I wouldn't feel too bad seeing it go, but I don't feel like keeping both around is a problem.

One quirk with the manual cycling for the pump action shotguns (or at least the Remington) is that if you empty your ammunition, you cannot cycle the last shell out and have to reload at least one in before you can cycle it and reload to full again. Gotten quite used to the controls by this point, it'd be a shame to see them get a big rework now, they feel excellent to me. I could definitely take on E1 with this, and the trigger pull for aimed shots feels just about right to me. Seriously excited to see the arsenal expand further.

With the Punisher pistol, if you're down to one bullet loaded and burst fire with it, you fire 3 bullets even though there should still only be one bullet left.

If you think it would be feasible option 3 sounds like it'd be amazing, but it sounds like it'd also be quite the immense undertaking. Option 2'd be fine to me but no sprites at all such as option 1 is a a hit to the immersion for me.
