Use the latest version of WinRAR to open up the PK4 files.

It's one way to slightly decrease load times between stages in Doom 3.

A humble suggestion for the next ZDoom release, Randy:

How about returning the more exotic BEX files that were once included in ZDoom 1.22? I recall there were more than 5 BEX files that were included alongside the vanilla RailGun.BEX that is in the current releases.

Sparky, you are the man! :D If I recall, I think it was trirailgun.bex (the one with 3 simultaneous beams). I'm interested in that "fast railgun" BEX file, as well -- the sadist in me beckons. I'm also missing the Memento Mori megawads. I've tried finding them via conventional means, but the FTP ...

Anybody recall whatever happened to the more unique and exotic DEH and BEX that were once included in ZDoom? I'm talking about the ones that gave you a triple beam railgun, ridiculously fast fire rates, 999 ammo, etc. I seriously miss having them in ZDoom. Anybody knows where I can get those DEH/BEH ...

In a similarly related case, I noticed that my weapons seem to have been stronger than I last recall. I charged at a Hell Knight with my rocket launcher, expecting 3 rockets will take it down. One was all it took. :shock: I wonder if coming at it from an angle may have something to do with it... :?:

As far as I noticed, with every time I start a new level and switch weapons after the screen transition (I have mine set on Crossfade, btw) the weapon HUD sprite immediately is at the default ready position. ... Okay maybe not, but it was fun watching it. :P

At any rate, I still think it'd be fun to watch a huge battle royale of Archviles or Cyberdemons. I'll be waiting for that to happen.

And now, for a pop quiz!! What's the only enemy in the Doom series that under no circumstances can ever upset another monster into attacking it? The only monster I can think of would be the Pain Elemental. It uses Lost Souls as projectiles , but if those harm another monster the issues are taken ...

In that pic, I arranged myself (52.cab) so both Barons made their move. Note the barrels in the pic, too. The trap in this room (TVR!.WAD, Map03) was designed so that either one of them would fling a fireball that'd end up hitting the barrels to hurt me immensely. Not too shabby, no? Turns out that ...
