Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread

I'm starting to question whether Legacy of Rust was really spearheaded by Xaser, as the Doom Wiki claims it to be: https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/113597-wip-demon-workers-unite-looking-for-contributors-see-within/ So, Finland locked down thanks to the coronas. Within a couple of days, I had a ...

Re: Ghastly Dragon's Quake Vore

I was considering giving it another chance, but sadly asking permission to the original author is impossible, since Ghastly passed away in November 2022. So I though asking people from here, where he was active and well known, if it would be a good idea to make it public again, or should I just ...

But please, don't rush the mapping. There's still some resource changes coming, and rushing stuff never goes well.
Oh, and I haven't left yet, a miracle :P

Re: Demon Eclipse (WIP) - Reinitialized

Terrific sprites! :D If the draugr (Death incarnate) is going to replace the revenant, then I agree, he could use a re-do to fit in with the other hellforge monsters. Right now he looks very much like a recolor. But I hope you'll get done with the sprites once and for all this time and can move on ...

Re: Brütal Doom v0.18

Get a sheep skull, dowse it in petrol and set it alight then throw it as hard as possible at the test subject. Close enough for an initial experiment. At least the subject should be able to say whether it hurt or not. Hurt, maybe, but only from the force of the skull itself. Probably not going to ...

Re: [WIP/Alpha] Blood of Bin Laden v00

Am I missing something here? All you did was replace the zombieman with some shoddy sprite that should resemble a terrorist I guess, and make him shoot his hitscan only when you're right next to him. The death frames don't even animate. And when I open the wad with Slade3, I am confronted with a ...

Re: [Demo] ZBlood+ demo (2012.03.23, p1)

The author still seems to be around, but his last post was about a year ago. So unless Michealis decides to state otherwise, this probably isn't being worked on.
No idea why people dug it up again and acted like it was released 3 days ago anyways :?

Re: High Quality Animations Project

Zombieman and Demon look great, they can stay as is. The imp however moves strangely. Firstly, the wobbling isn't very noticeable in game, which is a good thing. Instead, the problem is that it seems to be ice-skating rather than walking., which seems to be caused by it animating too slowly when ...

Re: Another HD sprites project.. (OH NO! here we go again...

A much better idea, I approve! :D

However, I think the imp's torso is too wobbly in his walk cycle. He looks like he's tilting from left to right, almost like he's dancing.
The other animations look good though.

Re: Another HD sprites project.. (OH NO! here we go again...

The reason these projects fail is that people bitch and complain Hmmmm... Ever thought that there might be a reason to that? I suggest reading the posts above you. Those people ALWAYS forget one simple fact: The sprites can always be improved, IF THEY EXIST. Easier said than done. First, try and ...

Re: The WIP Thread

In addition to what ghastly said, the keypad next to the computer screen bothers me. (If it even is a keypad, and my eyes aren't playing tricks on me.) It looks strange when placed over an opening that exposes blue compwalls, especially when there's such a nice empty patch of wall the size of a ...
