Re: ZDoom 2.5.0
Now to revisit polyobjects in future mapping! Was also one of those with minimal luck, But this should change everything even for those who've always made great use of them! This is a big day in ZDooM's evolution! Many thanks!

Re: WHAT THE HELL are you working on (WIP THREAD not gossip)
And I was thinking how much I could abuse decorate as a little personal Manhattan project to create a realistic nuke? Sure put my thoughts to shame!

Re: [r2232] idbeholdv Cheat Increases Item Count
If read that way, It's not the items You've collected, But how many are to be. Like if the automap says there are 16 items in a map, It will be 17 after You use this. I think it is fairly adverse since it probably explains why I've been looking for non existent items on some maps. It can be quite ...

As is I believe is best, The closer to PSX originality the better. Was interesting in some cases. (The poll mis-voted me)

Have really been looking forward to this release with it's many new features and fixes! ZDoom will always be the best port any game in history ever got! I just cannot say anything else about it, Well done Randy!

Re: [VOTE NOW] Doom Mutator Contest! See Voting rules...
I vote Movie Cam. Fun to see Doomguy in all his coolness while duking it out with the monsters, Quite genius!
Mention goes to Randoomv2, It can create some interesting surprises.

Re: [r1909] Just another Software Rendering Bug
A savegame of that E4M3 area with the bug present. Oddly enough it only happened to me after I summoned a bunch of shotguns at that spot so even a few of them fell down into the lava pit which I went to collect. When I got back the effect was there. Tried again but couldn't get it to happen again.

A little easier with the cacodemon as a fish in a barrel and friendly.

I like metric myself too. I'd find having such a reference helpful for re-creating real life buildings and places with more accuracy.

Re: PlayStation Doom TC
I have been playing this TC for a long time and love it! Playing such a TC was but a mere dream before I discovered this! The only thing I've found missing is the gibbed sound that plays when either the player or a monster is crushed. Crush: POL5 A -1 A_PlaySound ("Misc/Gibbed") stop Just adding ...

Re: Mod Pet Peeves
That's quite true. I see a lack of unique fire setting weapons. I sure haven't seen any flamethrowers that even remotely mimic their real life versions. They can be made quite interesting if done with creative decorate code.

Most helpful example. Gives me ideas to expand on for both layered fog and dynamic sky clouds to experiment with.

Re: What did you call monsters before you knew their real names?
Much alike. The Barons when I first saw them struck me as a cross between a pig and bull. And always thought the Cyber looked like a sort of anthromorphic bull like creature (Was a tough guy to see in SNES graphics), The roar even remotely sounded akin. Was interestingly different to fight despite ...

Re: What did you call monsters before you knew their real names?
I never knew any of the names when I first got into Doom with the Snes since I got only the cartridge about 6/8 years ago. I didn't exactly know what Doom was even about so my imagination was free to run quite wild with what many monters were called or were supposed to be. Never been good with names ...
