Re: [WIP] Shelter

Hey, wanted to update with a nice post. I learned a new design trick: http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/1838/screenshotdoom201005182.th.png Other than that, I'm implementing a bit of green into the mix. The map is turning out to become an underground "zoo", with cages, grass, waterfalls, brown tech ...

Re: [WIP] Shelter

Alrighty then. So far so good.

Quick question before I put up a new screenie:
How do I change the default Doom blue to the Zpack-ish lighter slate blue, if you know what I mean?

Re: [WIP] Shelter

Tried it out. I'll put that aside for later.

Another quick question though.
I want to use the same polyobj door for other areas on the map.

How do I go about doing that?

Re: [WIP] Shelter

did you make sure to use void space for the polyobject and set the "poly start" line properly? It almost looks like part of the poly is getting left behind for some reason... Someone with a little more experience may want to take this, because I have no idea. Sorry. ...lolvoidspace. Who'd have ...

Re: [WIP] Shelter

Polyobjects in general can be pretty touchy, sometimes being at the complete mercy of the nodebuilder. Can you post your map, or a portion thereof? It's kinda hard to see what's happening in the screenshot. http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/723/screenshotdoom201005042.th.png Big obnoxious line ...

[WIP] Shelter

Hi guys. I'm back. And, I (Think) got way better at mapping than before: http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/5199/screenshotdoom201005031.png http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/5199/screenshotdoom201005031.png (If only textures could be aligned to the slope...) http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/5199 ...

Re: ZDoom project ideas you have

Well, I'm back again. Either I make a Zdoom WAD, or I don't make it. And, after much thought and consideration...at this present moment in my life, while getting my college degree, I'll take some time to make a Doom WAD. In fact, I'm not going to beat around the bush...I'm going to make a Megawad ...

[WIP] "Untitled Volcanic Base Level"

I have returned from the filthy dead. Set my priorities straight, learned how life works, and realized that, at the end of it all, I STILL have ample time to edit Doom! :) The overall map so far: http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/8998/screenjr.jpg And some in-game screenies (Architecture only) http ...

[TEMPORARY] How do I reinstall DoomBuilder 2?

I posted a comment in the DoomBuilder 2 thread, but it looked too stuffed for anyone to look at, so, In a small attempt, I wanted to get an actual topic (for the moment) to get this problem solved (Which I think other users on here may have as well). I try to reinstall the official DB2 download from ...

Re: Doom Builder 2 thread

Heeey guys. Long time no type. Well, long story short, 2 months ago, I deleted DB2 and all associated Doom stuff off my computer in a vain attempt to "reorganize my disarrayed life". Turns out, I didn't have a disarrayed life, and I was just a lazy ass bum. My life is now organized, and I've decided ...

Neat things made possible by DB2

Hey guys. Been away for a while. Lots of life crap. Decided to get back into things with DB2. It is PHENOMENAL, I must tell you. The purpose of this thread is to showoff any new editing/coding/etc... tricks that can be done on DB2, that were either extremely difficult or impossible with DB1. Perhaps ...
