Re: Hexen Unofficial Update v1.2
I was hoping to see map fixes for the final hub (several Reivers(?) never activate, thus 100% kills is impossible) and Shadow Wood or Effluvium getting one of the two unused tracks assigned to it to get the entire game using a unique track per level. I do like the Heresiarch shield change though ...

Possible to reveal all secrets with the console?
Ive been playing a lot of older wads recently, and im noticing its frustratingly common to find monsters, items and secrets that are entirely unattainable. The first two are bypassable; kill monsters in the console will detonate anyone and everything, and for times, generally if I idclip onto them ...

Controller has different speed to keyboard.
Not sure if this is a bug, or a setting somewhere to be adjusted, but Raze has abysmal movement speed for me on my controller. Keyboard WASD controls seems to be fine, yet the moment I use a controller, its not using the same speed values. Its so slow that I move slower than walking speed, while ...

Re: WidePix v1.3 [complete/final] - GZDoom 4.7.1
Sounds like you have a mod loaded that overwrites the graphics - for example the sprite fix project. Sorry for taking forever to respond, but yeah, that was exactly the issue. I have the sprite fix loaded first in every single Doom 1/2 mod, so I tend to forget its there. I see that since then ...

Re: Hexen CD Music
This is neat, my first experience with Hexen was the Playstation version, so the CD music is what I remember most. Used to listen to it on my stereo via the redbook audio.
Does make me wonder what the other tracks would sound like if they had gotten the same treatment though.

Re: WidePix v1.3 [complete/final] - GZDoom 4.7.1
The original Chex Quest is seemingly not covered by the widescreen graphics, should be an easy fix, I dont think the graphics changed between CQ 1 and 3. CQ2 can only be supported via a pwad though I think. I keep the originals around as its always nice to compare the originals to the remasters and ...

Re: RETRO HERETIC MAPS / H!ZONE [Re-Upload]
Awesome, thanks for this! I got a few people interested in H!Zone's exclusive content recently, after getting through all of E1. Nash's widescreen update for GZDoom definitely sparked further interest in Heretic, having these lost episodes available is a great way to use them.

Is there a system under the hood that fixes this kind of thing? I noticed that Eternal Doom had what looked like manual edits in ...

Re: Longstanding 'vulkan out of memory' crash
After fixing my computer's inability to use Vulkan that happened shortly after I reported this (My computer decided that the integrated graphics on my CPU would take precedence over my dedicated Nvidia card, had to purge AMD drivers from my system), AND updating to GZDoom 4.60 from 4.50, this issue ...

Re: GZDoom 4.6.0 released
After blasting through a chunk of Doom 2 with the shadows on, yeah I was going to post that spectres shouldn't have shadows, as it looks really..odd with them on. Someone has beaten me to it though

Re: GZDoom 4.6.0 released
The sprite shadows are neat, although they do clash with the pre-dead corpse decorations in that monster corpses have shadows, while the pre-placed ones do not. The biggest advantage to these shadows is that flying enemies far above me no longer surprise me. Nash's widescreen Deathkings assets did ...

Its better to use the repackaged version by Quasar, it solves this issue.

Square already has a very similar split HUD built inJohnnyTheWolf wrote:Out of curiosity, was the mod supposed to be compatible with Adventures of Square at some point? I tried loading it up with the TC just yesterday and there are plenty of missing textures.

Re: Longstanding 'vulkan out of memory' crash
I am using the latest mainline GZDoom; 4.5.0
This is what my console now says when I load up GZDoom; it no longer sees Vulkan at all. In the crash report, it does show Vulkan being detected

Longstanding 'vulkan out of memory' crash
For the last few months, ive been using GZDoom's vulkan renderer without any issues, except for when I started using Nevander's fullscreen statusbar mod. (viewtopic.php?f=46&t=63863&start=285) My problem was that the mod worked flawlessly, EXCEPT for if I turned the hud completely off for screenshot ...
