Thanks man. I did make a start on e2m1 a while back but the results were rubbish honestly. I'd like to get back to it at some point in the future though.

Nah. Try the aforementioned (and frankly, far superior) HontE Remastered if you're after something similar for Doom 2.

Very minor update mainly to fix the rotation of some objects so they appear at the correct angle when using a 3D mod (in particular the amazing new Voxel Doom), also one or two tweaks that seemed super important at the time.

credited a couple more peeps in the OP. You've done really amazing work with this. Just playing around with this and my pbr stuff, I noticed that increasing brightness in whole level from 20 (which is extreamly dark in Doom) to 112 gives a really nic effect.
