Re: 2184: Liberation of Earth
I'm enjoying this a lot - it's pretty damned cool to see just what can be done with this engine! I do have a question for those who are playing this, though. Does anyone find the mingling of high res and low res textures a bit glaring? Your answers will relate a bit to something that I'm working on ...

Re: [WIP] DooM II - Inheritance (WIP01ht Available!)
I'm really intrigued by this and look forward to the next release. It'd be nice to run through the original levels again in a completely new light!

Re: [Resource] Wheel of Time
I just finished cleaning up model rips of keys used throughout the game and some associated HUD elements. They're attached to this post.
Fake edit: I had to apply 7z compression for them to fit int he 256KB attachment limit.

[Various] Wheel of Time resources
I've spent some time exporting both textures and audio files from one of the best games that nobody played - Wheel of Time. The audio files are semi-sorted into Male, Female, Ambient, and Enemies. The Male and Female sounds are further sorted into pain, death, jump, taunt, and misc categories. There ...

I just had a look and I've no longer got the base map, so I can't even re-upload it for you, I'm afraid.

http://www.zen64060.zen.co.uk/images/vile.gif Rise thread, rise. So, I was wondering. was this thing ever finalised and consolidated and made into a nice compilation of Imp tortures? If not, will it be? Funny you should resurrect this - just yesterday I was just digging through my (weaksauce ...

Re: Requiem: Avenging Angel - ripping?
According to this article, it used its own custom engine.
I remember buying this when it came out and loving it - I'd be interested to play it again to see how it's aged.

Re: Weird Doom Builder 3D mode graphical error.
I used to get that fairly often on my old Sony laptop from 2001 or so. Haven't seen it on any other computers since then, so my assumption was that it was just some funky video drivers for that obsolete Intel chipset.

Re: Torture Imps!
Here's another one! The scripting is an ugly mess, but it seems to all work alright. I suppose the same can be said for my sprite editing, heh. Anyways, it's kinda funny and I hope it gets a laugh! Xutawoo: If you're planning on compiling all of these, I'll update both of my examples with unique ...

Re: Torture Imps!
Getting yourself standing under the door is hilarious. I'm liking these so far. I JUST might contribute something at some point, since this doesn't require much mapping prowess, eh? No it doesn't, which makes it a great way to learn some basic scripting and DECORATE. Hopefully there'll be more ...

Re: SNDSEQ, how do I hate thee...
My plan to get around this, then, will be to change the sector's light levels 1 unit for as long as the floor is waggling, and then use a GetSectorLightLevel in an open if/then script to call the SoundSequence that I want to play. Hopefully I'll get a chance this afternoon to try it out.

SNDSEQ, how do I hate thee...
...let me count the ways. I'm trying to make a compressor that has four 'pistons' whose movement is governed by a Floor_Waggle floor special. They work fine, but I am having a hell of a time trying to create a new Sound Sequence for this thing. I've pored over the wiki, and maybe I'm just a bit ...

You and me both, apparently. I've got a 3870 right now and I'm planning on getting a couple of 4850s when the next generation releases. Should hopefully be able to get the pair of them for $300CDN by that time.Project Dark Fox wrote:I feel lonely having a good, working ATi card.
