Re: [Partial Conversion] DipSwitch - An Arcade-ish take on Doom!
Thank you both, that's really nice! <3 This was an absolute joy to play through, though I am yet to find whatever secrets it holds! Aside the Hell Knight issue (which according to the changelog has been fixed in the latest version), the only other problems I found were: - In the final wave arena, in ...

Re: [Partial Conversion] DipSwitch - An Arcade-ish take on Doom!
Released update 1.05! - Reduced the Hell Knight's health to be similar to the Cacodemon - they're both still bullet sponges, but at least he will always die in 2 grenade throws now. - Modified the final rooftop arena and teleporter zone so you can't see the elevator (and the rendering errors that ...

[Partial Conversion] DipSwitch - An Arcade-ish take on Doom!
https://i.imgur.com/OiYn9HB.png About two years ago, I started learning DECORATE, ACS and UDMF to see if I could do silly stuff with it. After experimenting for a bit, I started working on a MASSIVELY overambitious project: A 5-stage partial conversion of Doom inspired by arcade games of yore, with ...

I loved Combined Arms, so I'm sure I'm going to love this! Giving it a try ASAP.

Re: DOOM Ethereal
Heya, just tried out your wad! I beat map 3 and I stopped there, but I'm definitely going to continue playing it. It's a GORGEOUS map holy crap, and pretty fun to play through. I think I missed a plasma rifle somewhere though, because I didn't have enough ammo to kill the boss there, haha. (Just ...

[RELEASED] The Unholy Tetragram
https://imgur.com/ajDWT5R Download here! Hey everyone! Here's my very first completed Doom map. It's a single level, of the medium/big size. I tried to give it a slightly ambient, Doom 1-esque mood, while still experimenting quite a bit here and there. The level works in a non-linear, fairly open ...

[CVARINFO] "Unknown cvar type", but the cvar still works?
Hello there! I hope this is the right place to ask something like this. I've been meddling with SLADE3 and Ultimate Doom Builder for the past few weeks, and I'm having a lot of fun noticing my mistakes and fixing them by myself. However, I've encountered a minor annoyance when using CVARINFO I can't ...

Re: Engineering
Hey, I gave your map a spin! (No mods, besides Smooth Doom and some sound / aesthetic stuff) First and foremost: the atmosphere is FANTASTIC. You're a master of colored lighting, ambient sounds and just making a moody, creepy in general. I was on edge for a good chunk of what I've played! I also ...

Re: old timey doom editing
Oh, always loved how old-school editors looked. As technology marches on, they're all impossible to use properly now, sure, but they're all so colorful and full of personality! Definitely more attractive than the more ergonomic but also very bland windows of modern editors.
