I occasionally use a couple of visor addons in gzdoom running at 3440x1440 21:9 resolution (Ultimate Doom Visor and Neko Hud). So for what it's worth, I tried the latest gzDoom git build - 4.6-pre67 and I am now able to run the PBR materials without crashing. So whatever was going on has been corrected.

I think the error is because of the incorrect definition for BD_baseFlare. It says that it is an abstract, and on the Beautiful Doom Github there was a change 10 days ago for the following: "Fixed BD_baseFlare being incorrectly defined as abstract". So it looks like time to download the latest ...
