By appearance I had zdoom 2.0.63 flags set; had to clear dmflags and dmflags2 then set the mode to zdoom again for the accelerator to start functioning.
Weird. :S
Sounds like I need to clean up my config.

Seems the star accelerator in the tower on MAP19 is busted in gzdoom g4.8pre-52-g2420371c4, g4.8pre-88-gbb8534ed0, as well as the latest stable "official" binary (4.7.1) It will only launch the player 1300 sumodd units if they hold down the foward key. fortunately you can rj from the rainbow bridge ...

I think I overlooked the original. I gave this a chance and wound up playing through all the episodes. This was the first time I ever encountered a HUD with character visuals that were more than just a face. Kinda unique in a way. My only criticism would be matching the player character's clothing ...

You could copy libzmusiclite.so.1 into your raze directory and make a wrapper script like the following; --- #!/bin/sh LD_PRELOAD=./libzmusiclite.so.1 ./raze $@ --- Make sure that you `chmod +x` the script afterwards then you can move the directory arbitrarily across any point of your filesystem ...

The new demo has been a blast so far. It's been quite some time since I last played the SNES title, but from what I can remember, it definitely stays true to the game.
