Re: Worth Upgrading my CPU?
I don't really do anything productivity-wise - I wouldn't know where to begin compiling code. I went for the 11600k purely for its single core speed as I only really run old stuff or newer stuff built upon older philosophies like GZDoom. It does seem that the trend is on more cores rather than ...

Re: Worth Upgrading my CPU?
That's great to hear as I've couldn't resist and chucked £355 for the mobo, RAM, CPU and a tube of thermal paste. It's the first big upgrade in quite a few years and now I'm like a wee boy on Christmas Eve! BoA was definitely another project that didn't run as well as I'd have liked so it'll be ...

Worth Upgrading my CPU?
At the minute I have an i7 4770k and it's pretty good but recently I've found quite a few ZDoom mods and maps kinda struggle on it. I just tried Elementalism and I was getting single figure frame rates in some areas! I realise that GZDoom is pretty dependent on CPU rather GPU power so I've been ...

Re: [1.4.1] Screwed up Textures in SW
Honestly, I've no idea. I don't remember trying any mods in the past but that probably doesn't mean much. There does seem to be a lot of files in the folder (.ART files and others) and I also noticed that my Wanton Destruction GRP file was AWOL. I reinstalled SW through Steam and put the SW, TD and ...

Re: [1.4.1] Screwed up Textures in SW
I'm not autoloading any extra files for any of the games. I actually tried ticking the Disable Autoload box on the loader to be on the safe side too. There isn't an Autoload folder in my Raze folder either. Still the same. There are no errors in the console after startup other than "Can't Find CD ...

[1.4.1] Screwed up Textures in SW
I upgraded from 1.4.0 to 1.4.1. Everything runs well except Shadow Warrior. When I load the game instead of the title screen I get a scaled up hanging corpse sprite on a black background. The menu screen is garbled and when the game starts the textures are all messed up. It seems to be using the ...

Re: Raze 1.4.0 released
I tried to download the Windows build but I get a 404.
Anyway, thanks for your continuing hard work. I'm sure the latest version will be great.

Re: What's the big deal with NFTs?
A last ditch attempt by latter day capitalism to rape the planet to death. NFT's are the epitome of greed. Materialism has been pushed to the point that 'things' don't even need to be material anymore... as long as worldly resources are used up, all's good.

Re: GZDoom 4.6.0 released
Sorry if this is a silly question but what does "Default" mean in the sprite shadows option? Player and Monsters and Off are pretty obvious but default?

Re: Project Osiris - Alien Breed 3D for GZDoom (1.0)
Too cool! I started playing through last night and it's fantastic. Well done. I was a little worried that feature creep might spoil the feel of the original game but you've done a great job. Maybe you could release a resource pack and get a community map project on the go? I'd love to play some new ...

Hey. It actually looks pretty good in-game. I use it regularly and it's pretty cool.Ashat Maself wrote:looks repetitive from the screenshots, maybe some randomisation of the sprites would help?

Re: Raze 1.0.0 released
Thanks, folks, for the info and catalyst to keep messing around. I now have full speed movement and I now have a 'proper' menu when I hit START.
For interest, I found the correct syntax to add to my config was:
Pad_Start=openmenu mainmenu
Again, thanks to all involved and thanks for the help.
