MBF21 in Heretic: block players linedef flag doesn't work

Self explanatory: Using Heretic as IWAD in MBF21, the Block Players flag doesn't work on linedefs. Here's an example wad with the problem. Just walk up to the Ethereal Crossbow platform: you'll notice the fences don't block the player. GZDoom version tested: 4.14.0 and 4.14.1 Link to example wad ...

Re: Elementalism, an ambitious GZDoom mapset, Phase 1 out now!

A small update has just been posted! Download link is in the OP. Bauul hadn't really planned on doing any more updates, but after finding a pretty hilarious bug with W5 (the back of the pyramid was inverted!), he used it as a good excuse to fix a few other small bugs, as well as add a few little ...

Re: Elementalism, an ambitious GZDoom mapset, Phase 1 out no

Ahhhh; so, anything that doesn't take advantage of multi-core is going to suffer a lot? Is that what you mean by "single threaded performance"? Yes, exactly. GZDoom, like any id tech 1 source port, doesn't take advantage of multi core rendering when it comes to BSP traversal (which is what allows ...

Re: Elementalism, an ambitious GZDoom mapset, Phase 1 out no

CPU: AMD FX-8300 8-core GPU: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series 3gb (CPU-Z won't tell me precisely which model it is and my memory won't either, sorry) Old hardware that I need to get around to replacing, I know, lol. That CPU, along with the rest of the FX line, is notorious for having terrible single ...

Re: Elementalism, an ambitious GZDoom mapset, Phase 1 out no

Ah ok, darn. Well, so far I've completed two water episode maps and the frame rates are definitely playable, just not smooth unfortunately. Sorry for repeating noob question, but which settings are the hardest on systems besides resolution? I was hoping to maybe adjust other things first and see if ...

Thanks for the replies. The actual source of inspiration is Blighttown from Dark Souls 1 and Farron Keep from Dark Souls 3

[0.4.5] [RR] Pissing sound loops multiple times

I've had this happen to me several times while playing through Redneck Rampage. If you click on a toilet to take a piss ingame, the sound sometimes loops multiple times. Steps to reproduce: 1) find a map in Redneck Rampage with a toilet (I recommend E1L4 - Drive-In) 2) get to the area with the ...

[0.4.5] [SW] Framerate drops in first Shareware map

Ok so, right at the end of the first Shareware map in Shadow Warrior, there's a train with the exit switch in it. As soon as you hop in the train, the framerate goes from butter smooth to what feels like 30fps or lower. Here's a link to the savegame. The savegame is in the exact spot where this ...

Re: GZDoomBuilder-Bugfix, a maintenance fork of GZDB

Remmirath even if these doesn't make much sense, did you try to delete your gzdbuilder.cfg from your %appdata folder (backup it) and let gzdb make a new one? It turns that the editor became more stable on my end, I got the system.drawer error only one time since my last postabout the issue... I ...

Re: GZDoomBuilder-Bugfix, a maintenance fork of GZDB

My rig is brand new, with perfectly stable RAM XMP profiles, .... etc. Interesting. Have you tried Enjay's Gene-Tech ? It is full of models. I can play and edit it without problems, and my rig is almost an ancient albatross. [imgur]https://i.imgur.com/wK4n1xQ[/imgur] I tried GeneTech, and GZDB ...

Re: GZDoomBuilder-Bugfix, a maintenance fork of GZDB

Well, if it's suddenly crashing in a completely different part it might not be the program, but maybe something is wrong with your computer? Damaged RAM or something like that. Or it's simply not strong enough the handle the map. I've been getting the same crashes in random parts of the editor as ...
