Re: LZDOOM 3.8.2 Rescaling Issues. HELP.
Sure but it's an old version on steroids. :) Now i know what he's talking about, i guess he's running 320x200 natively on an intel "card". Yes, it looks like shit (that resolution always did) but it's even shittier due to your LCD monitor upscaling wildly such a low resolution. That's one of the ...

I'm using Direct3D Mode. GZDOOM does not have these issues at all.

Battletoads for the NES.
I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want to like this game. It just seems so cool and good. But people whore on it because of it's near-bullshit difficulty.
*P.S, there's a Japanese version that's been tweaked to be easier, but it's still pretty damn hard.*

I have one thing to say to a specific John Romero and Carmack.
Johnny, John, repent thy corporate shackles, leave Bethesda, make iD independent, and take back the DOOM franchise.
There is still time to do so.

LZDOOM 3.8.2 Rescaling Issues. HELP.
Hey, Pixel Here. I decided to run the *newly accquired* LZDOOM 3.8.2 in Truecolor Software mode. I decided to downscale the virtual resolution, because, 1. My computer is kinda crap for gaming, and 2. I love retro-style games and big pixels. But while i was running it in this mode, I noticed that ...

Re: GUS Problems
Isin't there some sort of patch or something that can make the GUS, you know, not sound literally half-assed?
Also i'm looking for a patch that can give GZDoom Roland MT-32 Support, too.

Re: GUS Problems
To answer your question, it was 32 Channels of sound. That's because the card basically could just play 8 (or was it 16?) channels of wave samples along with some volume/pan ramps.

GUS Problems
Hey, Pixel here. Sorry if i lurk alot, but i've been doing alot of other stuff lately. Now, i'm using GZDoom v. 3.7.1 (yay lack of OpenGL 3.0 existence on my PC) , and i've recently watched LGR (Lazy Game Review) review the Gravis Ultra Sound MIDI Card. He said that it was quite revolutionary for ...

Re: Amiga A.G.A, anyone?
Ok, but what about earlier games, such as Wolf3D? Surely the CPU can handle that.
(Also, leilei, i'm pretty sure those higher-end amigas can run Doom fine)

Re: Low Detail Shader
https://imgur.com/DQIF7in "Low Detail Shader when?" I get frequently asked. Probably as a joke, who knows... So - here it is. Use "gl_lowdetail" cvar in console to turn it on and off. It emulates the effect of pressing F5 in Vanilla Doom, except it's not resolution aware (it simply pixelates to ...

Amiga A.G.A, anyone?
I was pondering something today, and something just popped into my head. Could it be possible to run Vanilla Doom v.1.9 on an Amiga 4000/1200/CD-32 (Also Unmodified)? It seems capable enough, as it has 256 out of 16.7 MILLION colors to choose from. And it can also keep those color specs all the way ...
