For Blood the simplest way would be to simply remove the movies folder and for Powerslave removing BOOK.MOV
As for Redneck Rampage, I recall it stores the intro inside the GRP file so there's no simple option, same with Shadow Warrior and Duke Nukem 3D.

Re: How to make Build games work with Raze
Best practice would be to make a separate folder for each game

CLAP interface
I was shown this on another discord. https://github.com/dosbox-staging/dosbo ... /pull/4090 It works around licensing incompatibilities between GPL software and Nuked-SC55.
Is this something you'd consider doing for Raze?

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
you theoretically *CAN* do more with it under the right circumstances. And even then, anything you might want to do with either of these would be better left to hardware shaders, it's not difficult at all to write some zscript that can build whatever sort of LUT you might want with the current game ...

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
I think it's more likely that Gooberman simply recycled a map from a megawad that didn't get off the ground.

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
I share Graf's sentiment about ID24 being doomed (sorry for the bad pun!)
It's a catch 22 I think, ports aren't gonna implement it when there are no maps using it, and authors aren't gonna map for it until there's a port that actually implements it.

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
I really don't get why Kex Doom or ID24 should be off limits when people are still mad about GZDoom dropping the confusingly named sector light modes last year... Say what you want but the attitude of the spec's instigators was not really conductive towards reaching a mutual consensus. The whole ...

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
The good thing is that anyone can already incorporate ID24 technology since its an open spec. Don't let the author of said spec cloud your judgement and just look at the code instead, with the warning that it is non-final. I am mentioning this because initially people used to go ape-shit on how ...

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
Yes, among other things (Doom was designed like this). (I don't know much about EDuke32, does it use some sort of ID for everything placed in the game?) I don't know about the scripting side but tiles (which are used for everything artwise, be it walls, floors/ceilings or sprites) have no names ...

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
I think what yum is saying is players are used to be able to combine different Doom mods, and this risks Doom becoming like EDuke32 where different mods end up conflicting with each other. I'm not so sure that will be the case though, as gameplay mods makes more sense to do in GZDoom anyway

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
I agree that it's shortsighted.
What you're saying makes sense for a developer with a long term commitment. Unfortunately going by what I've heard on doomworld and elsewhere they were rushed to get it out by QuakeCon. Certainly a downside of commercial ports.

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
Supporting legacy content was one of the design goals, else it wouldn't have made any sense to reimplement Boom and MBF. This also means supporting DEHACKED. Whether DECORATE is easy to figure out is irrelevant, id/NightDive can't use existing code if it's GPL, meaning they would have to reimplement ...

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
Yeah but what does DOS Doom on 90s PC hardware have to do with it? Keep in mind Gooberman had to do his own implementation of Boom and MBF from documentation due to licensing issues. Is there any DECORATE implementation that's not similarly license encumbered? If not it makes sense to build upon ...

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
What I meant is that even that old Wii lying around in your grandma's basement is probably a better way to play your old GameCube games, just like how literally any source port in existence will be better for playing Doom than your grandpa's 386. The GameCube is considered to have better video ...
