The closest any group/person has come to improving the doom textures without completely ruining the feel was JDoom's Hi-res texture pack for DoomsDay (Doom Source Port). This sounds like it would make doom look like half-life or something. Which would look horrid! Honestly, if you want fancy ...

[wiki]LOADACS[/wiki] helps out in that department. But if your weapon mod uses script number 555 and you try it out on a map that also has a script number 555, something is going to have to give... Uh, usually the mapmaker knows which script # the reload script is, and avoids it. If, it's a ...

Thanks Randy, that's all I needed to know. I'll be reporting the faulty update to AVG, and reccomend everyone else who uses AVG to do so as well. Hopefully it will get resolved, so we can all go back to playing ZDoom like normal.

Thanks again. :D

Ok, I've just installed and updated AVG and it's reporting any and all instances of fmod.dll as a trojan. However, Googling the supposed trojan returns nothing, so I'm going to say it's a false positive It's a false positive. Thank you TDA, you've made your point twice over. Until Randy or Graf has ...

This is after completly removing zdoom. I scanned the zip file, and the unzipped folder. Then, tried to make the game run after removing the so-called infected file. http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m65/abc_123_014/Damnit2.jpg - http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m65/abc_123_014/Damnit3.jpg - http ...

Has it ever occurred to you that you and your father's computer are infected with a virus from something else instead? Like maybe you inserted some MP3 player or thumbdrive with a virus installed on them? You're being way too paranoid. With the exception of Skulltag, GZDoom and ZDoom's sources are ...

@Nash: If I were you, I'd check for updates on AVG, and then scan you Doom Source port files. TDA's arguement barely holds, because it's too much of a coincidence that both my father's and my scanner would find it in the same hour of the same day of the same month of the same year. Two out of ...

@TDA: No, I'm afraid not. My virus scanner works just fine, I've cornered plenty of viruses with it. Given the evidence that there's a lot of people who use ZDoom that DON'T get malware warnings, the evidence points to your virus scanner. And I quote myself, Note that this is occuring on my father ...

Is that AVG Free? My AVF Free isn't reporting such things and I've updated all of the components. Yes, nice guess. Huh, that's strange, it's a file that comes with each port. Also, only after I re-connected to my LAN (Local Area Network) this morning and update AGV, did it appear. Over the last 6 ...

Okay, so what exactly does it mess with, and why then is it appearing on 2.1.7 (The latest build)? :? @TDA: No, I'm afraid not. My virus scanner works just fine, I've cornered plenty of viruses with it. Tell your program to ignore ZDoom, and GZDOOm fmod.dll. What I suggest is you prevent fmod.dll ...
