Best CPU for GZDoom performance? [split]

What type cpu should I get for best performance?
More cores or clock speed or both? Intel or AMD?
Gameplay and gore mods cause stutter sometimes.

I have i5-8400, GTX 1070 and 16 GB RAM.

Minor nitpick but is there any chance in the future that plasmatic shotguns get different pickup sprites different than normal weapons?
It is hard to distinguish them when playing non-engineer.

Hello! Thank you and your team for hard work. I have a request: can you enable in next update vanilla doom marine without any traits? I really enjoy clean character, makes things more challenging and you appreciate drops more. Long time ago you helped me achieve this in 1.05 so can you help me again?

Regardless, you can do it yourself by going into sbarinfo.txt and searching for DrawGem (and the DrawBar on line 195) and deleting all of those lines, also delete the lines with COLTR and COLTL.

I'm just gonna drop this here since I am an impatient bastard (and also Term seems to be busy with Booster) This here's a rework of the HUD code into fullscreen offsets so you can scale any of the HUDs however you please (screenblocks 10 and 11) with some minor tweaks of my own, plus a bonus ...

I can´t play vanilla Doom without this, it makes it much more intense and fun.
Any new on Overkill version yet? Last unfinished portions of the Doom 2 felt like spoiled intercourse... :P

If you know your game and assemblies, technician is very versatile and powerful from the start. Sometimes I think even OP.
Protip: you can disable the rays from the DoomRL menu.
