Re: ZDoom with OpenAL
Apologies with reference to SDL FAQ, changing "SDL.h" to <SDL/SDL.h> was an ignorant comment. The real issue lies in needing changes to the build system to pull together the right info. I do know sdl-config supplies the correct flags: 23:57 insomniac:~% sdl-config --libs --cflags -L/usr/local/lib ...

Re: ZDoom with OpenAL
i found the zdoom-openal tree in subversion so its been safe to ignore my comment since the day i posted (woops) i managed to get a zdoom binary that works on openbsd, but to do so i had to do some angry code snipping (rather than take the time to do code fixing) and my resulting binary, while it ...

Re: ZDoom with OpenAL
Hi Chris. What zdoom revision does that latest openal patch require? I've ended up downloading almost every patch set in this thread trying to get together the most recent of patches and no matter what i always end up with patch rejections. Cheers.

 <--this says it all. thanks a bunch though, since i'm using a linux rolled version just grabbed the 93src.cab and didn't bother getting 93.cab for the newer zdoom wad. hopfully i don't have to start all over to get the damn things to open. maybe people won't make doom former human dying ...

excellent, thanks! after applying the diff, compiling it, running with -nosound, i was able to configure my keys and other settings, and play through e1m1 and a bit of e1m2 (no crashes when autosaving, no problem switching weapons with the numbers). still had to run with -nosound, but i can live ...

hey guys, nice to see another effort in the portability department. before i start i'm just going to say i wish i could help (meaning i have no knowlege of c++, or c) but thats not possible at this point in time. however while i'm running freebsd i would like the chance to take some of the code you ...

hmm
fine and dandy, but i was under the impression that a linux binary would be released. are you still planning to release something randy? should the 90 source build without needing an act of god? i'm running freebsd right now, so while the code probably isn't standard enough to build on just _any ...

great
thanks for your efforts! the binary runs fine, the only thing i notice is that i can't configure my controls in the menu (guess i'll have to do that manually). also, using the mouse to turn one way while strafing another way makes a rather interesting shaking action with the screen. the easiest way ...
