Re: Doom \ Quake Project

Phil was awesome. I'd heard that mindcrime was essentially going to make a "directors cut" version of Nehahra, but that dropped off the radar a couple of years ago I think, though I don't lurk the quake communities any more, hell I hardly lurk here all that much these days :( . Still, Ranger got his ...

Re: Doom \ Quake Project

Good god. Tritin films. Holy friggin shit. I'd often wondered where you mad bastards had dissappeared to. I was a massive fan back in the day, used to lurk on your website and any website related to quake machinima, I can't remember if I found out about Nehahra from you guys or from you guys about ...

You raise an interesting point, but would it really be "that easy" so to speak? I don't know if filtering on the fly would have all that good of an effect.

I think I know what the guy is trying to do, the problem is it does not really work. I tried this when I was fooling around in doombuilder a while ago. I grabbed a nice high-res image from Quake 4 and put it in the wad file and while it does look a little better than the default... the two engines ...

I've noticed alot of people seem to be considering LUA based scripting at the moment because it seems to be fairly customizable though. This might be an interesting read for those concerned: Article It's by the lead coder of Natural Selection 2 about using/editing with LUA, he continues his comments ...

On that I agree, just because one guy did it one way doesn't mean it is the absolutely only way to do it. I do find it strange that yeah, he doesn't know how it was done but given an idea he flatly refuses it. Heh.

Yeah and what he want's to know nash, is since the the scale normally fits to the default size, how did spork prevent that from happening? As Sporks M_Doom clearly is not squashed.

Champion effort there doomrater. You damn dirty Btard

Heh, I nicked disco as well, but I customized it a bit. Now it plays a Rush song... I'm tempted to try and synchronise the colours to the song... but that may kill people. :D

Nice looking set of maps. Something I like is the fact that you're using fairly decent resolution textures and despite the simpleness of the maps makes them look just that much better. Still, awesome work as usual enjay. Actually, you know what I reckon would make especially the track part look ...
