Couldn't a warp effect be added to the screen display style for use in such situations.

Or random camera bobbing like in Blood.

Doom uses color to achieve that effect. It should stay that way. This is an 11 year old game, not some new stuff that uses all kinds of weird effects that are more a distraction than a good feature.

I don't think this should be added as a part of the gameplay per se, so much as a selectable option possibly.

Yeah, I've played Perfect Dark, I hate when I get hit like 20 times by the trankulisers though :|

I think it would be cool if your vision got blurry when you are hit by certain attacks or take damage from harmful liquid. I'm talking about the effect in Perfect Dark, if anyone has played that for the N64.
