Good news: I may have a solution for you.
I recently got the same error on my main PC (windows 10, heaps of RAM, heaps of space etc) after running it fine on my Win10 laptop for ages. I tried ZDoom, I tried GZDoom, I tried a heap of commands... it just wouldn't run, always saying it failed to allocate X bytes.
I tried fresh downloads and it also wouldn't work. THEN:
I copied the working ZDoom folder off my laptop onto my main PC and suddenly it worked. Whatever the error is, it's something to do with the first time ZDoom runs and generates a bunch of files. Once those files are generated (ie the folder copied from the other computer which had them in it) it runs fine with no "failed to allocate X bytes" error.
Try that out - find another computer it runs on then transfer the files after launching ZDoom successfully once.
