Actually, PolyMost is better integrated in ZDoom than DoomScript and the rest of the stuff you cited.
The two lines should be read on their own, I'm saying floor decals is among the common requested and no'd stuff.

And I know about polymost. :)

No hope already? :(

Sorry, the organization of flats is so messy that there's not much of a chance.

I think this feature suggestion has earned it's place next to "fix the bots", "Duke Nukem 3D support" and "Split Screen".

GZDooM is possibly the only zdoom related engine that might be able to handle floor decals, because of its opengl rendering. Not to sure that’s an easy task with GZDooM however.

Heh, polymost.

So that's what "PolyMost" was o_O

'No' for now - possibly forever.

The flat rendering engine simply doesn't support decals. There was talk, way back when I was a genuine n00b to ZDoom, of some fabled engine rewrite entitled PolyMost that would facilitate such features, and all other kinds of cool stuff besides. Unfortunately, it appears to be in dev hell for good.

Nash did a cool workaround in GZDoom with ultra-thin 3d splat models that fell to the floor when the actor bled. That's probably the closest you can get at the moment, but it's hardly efficient.

I'd like to see this, but I never suggested it because I was (and still am) sure there was a good reason this hasn't already been added.
