Both prboom+ and eternity have this compatibility option ...

Use Exactly Dooms Floor Motion Behavior.

This option is necessary in Roger Ritenour's Phobos.wad map 3 to cross sector 203

If implemented, it would no doubt be set to YES in Doom (strict) mode.
