Possibly because the board is sending from itself to itself - so there should never be a problem of a message not getting through provided the message got as far as the board from the input box?

Is that the common meaning of "outbox"? I always assumed it means "message to be sent, but for some reason not sent yet", usually caused by network outage.

Inbox is messages you have received. Outbox is messages which you have sent, but which haven't been read yet (not blocked). Sent messages is where they go after the recipient reads them.

Basically, if a message is still in Outbox, the person who you sent it to hasn't seen it yet.

Check all the links under your inbox (like Saved Messages or any message folders you've created). Also check your "Rules, folders & settings" to see if maybe you have an auto-delete or auto-save rule set up or something. Also keep in mind that your inbox only shows messages you've received, not messages you've sent.

EDIT: It appears that any folder can store up to 350 messages (seems a little low for plain text, no?) and there is a setting for "If folder is full: Delete oldest messages." If somehow you've managed to fill your inbox in less than a year, and that rule is turned on, you'd lose old messages.

Okay thanks and what is the different between inbox, outbox and sent messages? outbox means your message was blocked by the user you tried sending it to? all my other messages were sent except for this one
