Fair enough. I've been unable to reproduce the problem in a sane test PK3.

This mod is untestable, so unless this can be reproduced elsewhere things do not look good.

Ambient sounds gone on restart (Hell's Playground)

I was trying to see if I could replicate the texture alignment issue reported with that enormous mod from this bug report: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=63456 (Hell's Playground)

Perhaps the bug is the same as this one: viewtopic.php?f=104&t=63455 (same mod, but description is slightly different.)

Things were just running too badly so I had to give up on the texture thing. However, I did notice something that might be easier to investigate. On dying and re-spawning, the ambient sounds were gone.

Steps to reproduce.

Load
(from the resource files folder in the RAR)
Hell's Playground Resource File 1.pk3
Hell's Playground Resource File 2.pk3
(from the Doom2 version folder in the RAR)
Hell's Playground 0 monsters.wad

Start the game and wait until it becomes playable. It happens eventually (presumably not on a slow computer though - takes about 20 seconds for me!).
Die by some means ("kill" at the console works, or run around until you fall into some of that really bright yellow lava (it'll kill you quickly))
Press [use] to respawn. The game will now be much quieter.

I also had -noautoload -nomusic on my command line.

This does not happen in 3.7.2 (i.e. on restart, the game is still helluva noisy). Tested 3.7.2 and the git build with the same ini.
