Last week I suggested letting us apply glows to things (
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=61453), which was refused on the grounds that future changes to the lighting system could break it. I never got an answer to my final question there, so I'm guessing the answer to it is no.
If there were a method of referencing UDMF custom properties in shaders, people could write basically any feature they wanted into the sector lighting for their maps - and hopefully without running into same problem as the previous suggestion.
