NEED HELP: extremly low fps in hardware mode

Forum rules
Contrary to popular belief, we are not all-knowing-all-seeing magical beings!

If you want help you're going to have to provide lots of info. Like what is your hardware, what is your operating system, what version of GZDoom/LZDoom/whatever you're using, what mods you're loading, how you're loading it, what you've already tried for fixing the problem, and anything else that is even remotely relevant to the problem.

We can't magically figure out what it is if you're going to be vague, and if we feel like you're just wasting our time with guessing games we will act like that's what you're really doing and won't help you.

So, like, SteamOS?

The creators update made it so that GZDoom took ages to start for me while sitting with a black screen (if it started at all). I reinstalled my drivers and the problem went away. I'm not sure how easy it is to find/install intel drivers. My card is an nVidia one.

This is a longshot but try doing gl_renderbuffers 0 in the console. It fixed my FPS problems and made everything so much smoother.

0.3 fps in hardware mode, i get much better performance on other games and also used to get much better performance in doom, it just recently started doing that.
vid_maxfps is set to 200, i already tried reinstalling it wich didnt help and same problem with qzdoom and zandronum.
the pointer moves normal and in zandronum the menu works fine
