Okay, it's been a long time when I want to start using Doom again, so it comes to a surprise when I saw on the site that ZDoom (and of course GZDoom) has been updated. I want to try and use it again, but ...

and that's just on Nash's GPL fork, this is from the most recent stable bin downloaded in DZD (using the 1.9.1):

I don't know what's going on at that point. Replicating it is just a matter of running the game onto my computer. I tried the old builds and it worked fine.

As you can see the wad I've been using is Freedoom Phase 2, but I tried others like Chex & the original Doom wads, but all of them do the same thing.

I wonder if it's there's something either in the code or in the hardware (I suspect audio as I usually hear 'Default Device' related to the audio card)'?
